Reel Contractors is a tech-forward restoration and reconstruction company based in Pembroke Pines, Florida. We handle water, fire, mold and storm damage and the rebuild afterward for homes, associations, property managers and commercial buildings. Serving all of South Florida: Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and the Florida Keys. We also serve Chicago.
Chris Bushing, Owner
Before I started Reel, I spent 10 years playing professional baseball. I made my Major League debut with the Cincinnati Reds in 1993 and also played in the Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, Montreal Expos, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago White Sox and Texas Rangers organizations.
Baseball was a big part of my life. It taught me how to be a team player, and sports always kept me on a good track and out of trouble.
After baseball, I spent ten years in law enforcement. Where baseball taught me to work as a team, law enforcement taught me accountability and showing up. When something goes wrong, people need someone who arrives, stays calm, takes charge, tells the truth and writes everything down.
How that shapes Reel
Both taught me the same thing: everyone has a job, and you own yours. When it's your property, we treat it like we're protecting it, because we are. We tell you what we find, put the plan in writing and stand behind the people doing the work.
That's how we run Reel. We document the damage, dry it out and rebuild it. And I answer my own cell: (954) 325-9960.
Leadership
Callahan Shaw, Chief Innovation Officer
Callahan Shaw leads innovation at Reel, overseeing operations, technical command and the technology that keeps every job organized and documented. Based in Fort Lauderdale, he has worked across construction, restoration, cybersecurity and full facility operations, giving him a behind-the-scenes view of how buildings and projects really run. Before Reel, he served as Director of Sales and Technology at a South Florida commercial HVAC contractor and led sales teams in IT security operations. He also served as a firefighter/EMT, so he knows what an emergency looks like from the front line. At Reel, Callahan turns that experience into better systems, smarter planning and clearer communication for every property owner we serve.
How we work
Prepare
Most of the damage we see starts small: an AC line, a roof drain, a failed seal. Our maintenance visits look for those before they turn into a claim.
Stay calm
We tell you what we see, what has to happen now and what can wait. No pressure and no scare tactics.
Write it down
Dated photos, moisture readings and a written scope on every job, so you, your board or your adjuster can follow exactly what was done.
Our team
Backed by a team of 25+ technicians across South Florida and Chicago, including IICRC-trained technicians, Reel is a one-stop shop that can handle jobs of any size. One call. One team. Restoration to rebuild. The same team stays with your job from dry-out to rebuild.
Licenses
Licensed in Florida: Certified Building Contractor CBC1261811 · Mold Assessor MRSA2452 · Mold Remediator MRSR2648. IICRC-trained technicians on our team.
